Getting in tuned with you

Often times I find that we really don’t know who we are outside of the societal norms. What we like, what we dislike, what makes us happy, what makes us sad, what we really want. I’ve spoken with dozens of people, and I ask them questions about these things, things about themselves and they will tell me quick “I don’t know”. The most important relationship you have is with yourself. That is your foundation for every single aspect in your life. It’s just like a house. If the foundation is not right, the rest of the house will eventually fall. Some rooms will be ok, but you will constantly have to repair, and sooner or later, you will have to just get rid of everything, fix the foundation and rebuild. That’s where some of us are now. We realize, wait- something is not right. Something is off, and that is the most wonderful thing! When you realize that things are not working right, that is when you can take the steps to rebuild. Start all over. It’s never too late. That is called getting in tune with you. Who are you outside of everything else? yeah you’re a parent, you’re a student, you’re a nurse, doctor, spouse, sibling, child, but WHO ARE YOU? Do you like night time or day time? What’s your favorite season? Are you a worrier? Are you a procrastinator? Are you serious? If time and money weren’t an issue, what would you be doing? Do you need healing? Once you begin to uncover those things and stand firm on who you are, you can then make the adjustments necessary to the world outside of you. Seek validation from yourself. You will tell yourself that’s right, this is the way, this is ok. I AM ENOUGH. This is the first step in the journey of getting to your best self, your higher consciousness.
